Are these fated-to-mate stories?

The Chamele Barbarian Warlord series will feature fated to mate couples, couples who recognize the being romantically meant for them immediately.
The reason I like fated to mate stories is because that is the only time of romantic love I personally know. I fell in love with the Dear Wonderful Hubby at first sight over 25 years ago and we are still very much in love today.

What are the planets in the Chamele system?

There are four inhabitable planets in the Chamele sector. They don’t have very original names. (grins) Creativity isn’t a Chamele strength.
The inhabitable planet farthest from Chamele’s single sun is called Chamele 1. The inhabitable planet closest to the sun is called Chamele 4.
The reason the farthest planet was called Chamele 1 was because that was the first one discovered. The monitoring systems on ships weren’t very advanced at that time. The Chamele ancestors weren’t aware there were three other inhabitable planets.

When does this series occur?

The Chamele Barbarian Warlords series happens after a significant event in Chamele history-the Succession Wars.
The Chamele sector had been ruled by one powerful Warlord and his gerel (they are considered one unit) for many solar cycles.
That Warlord and gerel had three sons – Berke, Khan and Murad.
But Chameles follow strong leaders, not necessarily sons or daughters of past leaders.
When the Warlord died, every Chamele who felt he or she was strong enough to rule fought for the right to do exactly that.
The Chamele Succession Wars tore factions apart, pitting families against families, friends against friends.
The Chamele Barbarian Warlords series begins after these wars.
Berke, Khan and Murad have to deal with the aftermath of these civil wars.
There is healing within themselves and within their kind that has to occur.

If Chamele Barbarian Warlords is set in the same world as the Cyborg and Refuge series, why didn’t the Humanoid Alliance try to conquer the Chameles?

Because the Chameles are known for their ferocity and their love for battle.
But also because the Chamele sector, similar to Carinae E and the Refuge, is situated on the edge of the known universe.
The Humanoid Alliance hadn’t reached it yet.

What does gerel mean?

Chamele warriors call their fated to mate female ‘gerels.’
That translates to light.
Their females are the light to their darkness.

Warlord Sky

No one grounds a barbarian warrior.

Qulpa, a Chamele warrior, lost everyone he loved in the brutal Succession Wars. Flying is the only thing that brings him joy. Serving as his team’s pilot is the sole duty he has left. Then a horrific crash leaves him injured and unable to fly.

The one being who can help him is also his gerel, the female destined to be his. She insists she doesn’t feel their connection. Qulpa is certain his beautiful mate is lying and nothing will stop him from finding out why.

Where is Warlord Sky Set?

Warlord Sky is set on Chamele 2. That’s the most hospitable of the planets in the Chamele sector. It is lush and green and has moderate temperatures, sort of like those in the Northern U.S.

Who is the Warlord on Chamele 2?

Chamele 2’s Warlord is Khan. Khan is the fiercest warrior of the three brothers. He is the second brother (Berke is the eldest. Murad is the youngest.) and he is accustomed to fighting for everything he has been given. He hasn’t yet found his gerel (his fated female).

Warlord’s Bounty

Wanted: One Barbarian Warrior.

The bigger the bounty, the more dangerous the target.

Khan, a Chamele Warlord, has a huge bounty on his head. His enemy wants him captured and is offering any being in the universe an outrageous number of credits to accomplish that.

Khan wants to be captured, but only if the being apprehending him is a tiny, brown-eyed female with wickedly sharp daggers and an even sharper tongue. His passion for the feisty human can’t be inhibited by restraints. He’ll allow her to subdue him…in a variety of enticing ways.

When she finally collects her credits, he’ll collect his revenge, killing his enemy and claiming his little bounty hunter forever.
Zeta doesn’t do forever. After a lifespan of chasing dangerous beings across galaxies, apprehending and trading them for credits, she doesn’t get involved emotionally…with anyone.

Khan might be fierce and sexy and the most dominant male she has ever encountered, but the barbarian is also her target, and once she sates herself with his body, she’ll betray him.

That’s her job.

Murad, a technology-loving Chamele Warlord, has to track down and eliminate a rogue warrior before that male ends Murad’s reign. Permanently.

When a pieced-together wreck of a ship enters the sector without authorization, Murad assumes it is piloted by an ally of his enemy and decides to blow the battered vessel out of open space.

Warlord’s Return
